Many worlds.

Software for many customers. A space that belongs to each. Build the product, the boundaries and the business behind it.

ONE SHARED SERVICEThe foundation stays connected.

Same software. Independent customer spaces.

Switch the customer. The product stays familiar; the records stay separate.

Product foundation

Start with
the useful part.

Define the customer problem, the first useful journey and what makes that journey complete. Give the first release a clear boundary.

Example core loop

A shared
project review.

One repeatable task gives the product its purpose. Everything else supports the journey.

Bring the context

Create the project and add its brief.

Work together

Invite the right people to review it.

Reach a decision

Capture feedback and resolve the next step.

Implementation details
A defined first release
Prioritize the core journey, feature set and validation criteria. Keep later ideas in a roadmap instead of overloading the launch.
Every state considered
Design onboarding, empty screens, interrupted actions and account settings alongside the main experience.
A coherent product model
Define how workspaces, members, features and records relate before connecting the screens.

Workspaces & access

Shared software.
Separate worlds.

A workspace is a customer boundary. Membership and roles must protect each record and operation, even when someone asks for another workspace directly.

ONE MEMBER. TWO BOUNDARIES.

Can this member
open that record?

The same member belongs to Workspace A. Follow an allowed request to A–001, then a denied request to B–001.

Local simulation of a server-side rule. No customer data is requested.

Protected

Choose a destination, then check access.

Implementation details
Membership is explicit
Invitations belong to a workspace and a role. Validate them before creating membership, then support role changes and removal.
Isolation beyond the screen
Check every protected operation on the server. Hiding a screen or a button does not isolate customer data.
A deliberate data model
Separate databases are one possible approach, not a universal requirement. Choose explicit boundaries and test them consistently.

Account lifecycle & entitlements

Access changes.
Context stays.

Connect onboarding, subscription state and feature permissions through defined rules. Account changes should preserve the integrity of the underlying records.

FOLLOW ONE ACCOUNT

An example policy. Trial periods, billing grace periods and retention rules are defined for your product.

Implementation details
Billing & product access
Connect billing events to an accurate account state. Define what renewal, cancellation and interrupted payment mean for the product.
Features & usage rules
Enforce agreed entitlements and usage limits on the server. Keep the interface consistent with what the account may actually do.
Controlled transitions
Handle deactivation, access removal and recovery explicitly. Decide data retention and reactivation behavior before launch.

Platform operations

Built for
the day after.

Launch starts a longer responsibility. Give operators the context to support customers, understand service state and release changes with control.

RELEASE PREPARATION

Ready is
a checklist.

  • Workspace isolation tested
  • Account states verified
  • Recovery path documented
  • Support handover prepared

Illustrative release criteria

See the real state

Customer and member administration, usage visibility, diagnostic context and an activity history that explains what changed.

Support with context

Give support the information it needs, with controlled access to sensitive actions and records.

Change without guesswork

Plan versioned releases, migrations and recovery paths. Use customer feedback to prioritize what comes next.

From product idea to operating platform

A product.
Built to continue.

For founders and businesses building a subscription service or a product with multiple customer workspaces. Define the first useful release, then evolve from real use.

Plan your SaaS platform
What the project delivers+

A product structure connecting workspaces, members, features and data; customer-facing screens and account behavior; and an operating model covering administration, support, releases and recovery.

How the work develops+
  1. Define the first release around the customer problem.
  2. Build the core loop: eligibility, product use, billing and administration.
  3. Validate permissions and billing states, then evolve from feedback.
The terms, made clear+
Tenant
A customer organization or workspace within a shared platform.
Entitlement
A server-enforced permission to use a product capability.
Data isolation
Controls preventing one workspace from accessing another workspace’s records.
